Subs gained vs. Subs lost ratio?

Hey there!

After having a few days not really accomplishing anything, I figured I should spend a solid day looking into my analytics, comparing ratios and relationships between values like annotation clicks vs views and audience retention per video, seeing what works and what doesn't, etc. I did that yesterday, and I found out you can learn a lot about your channel from analytics!

But in the subscribers section, I noticed that in all of my time on the YouTubes, a total of 6,000 people have un-subscribed. That sure does seem like a lot, but then again I see that 34,000 have subscribed in my lifetime. Is this a normal ratio? If it's alright, can some of you guys see what your own ratio of unsubscribed to subscribed is?

Thanks!

I would be over 300 subs if NONE of my subs unsubbed.

I've lost 79 in total, so I understand how you feel.

I have a very similar sub size to you, and I have lost about the same If I remember. So no difference here!

My sub ratio was alright for a time, until we did a dota 2 item give away, then, after the giveaway was done, i lost 25 subs in a DAY. was so hard to build that back up. thing is, i didnt ask them to sub for the items xD, bunch of item whores. but meh, happens i guess. but my ratio is increasing at an okay pace i guess

535 gained 83 lost, pretty fine IMO. would be over 500 if they stayed though. Also got none today or yesterday which us kind of getting me worried because I usually get at least on per day :(.

I have gained 906 subscribers and lost 200, I'm okay with it. If no one had unsubbed I'd be on 1106 now and I would have broken the 1000 mark. Damn it :')
