Sub to sub...is it worth doing that way???

The by far the most important ranking factor on YouTube is (session) watch time. The subscriber number only has a minor (psychological) meaning.

agree. People want high number of subscribers but dont care about the rest.
sub4sub is a suicide to your channel

I think it helps you just for THAT MOMENT. if a person subscribes you just to get sub back and is not even interested in your content it's the waste of sub.. s/he will not be watching your videos and you will not get any more popularity.
I think it's better to have people who are similar to you, are interested in what you do..even though if the number is smaller.. but at least they will be loyal to you and will motivate you :)

Sub for sub will kill your channel, they are only subbing to get your sub when in the long run subs don't matter as much as views or watch time. There are lots of other ways to get your channel started. Just need to put out videos and stay consistent. Don't worry about them being perfect but what I try to do is make 1 improvement per video. Hope this helps.

no no no no no never sub4sub xD Yes you will gain a few subs, but they only sub to you to boost their own numbers - they aren't interested in your content. sub4subs will not impact views, likes, watch time, or audience retention, which are just as important as subscribers for channel growth, if not more

Yes, I know that sub x sub is only to boost the numbers.... But its good to get a custom URL. I just noticed we need 100 subscribers for that. I agree with all of you... sub x sub wont be of much help apart from custom URL...
Its all on content channel has to offer.

No not at all. The people who do that only care about their sub count, and they won't even support your channel, aka inactive subs. It doesn't matter if you have a million subs if you don't have any views on your videos.

Are you familiar with self-published authors on Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct publishing)?
One of the first ways that self-published authors sell their ebooks is to other self-published authors. Why do they do that? Well, if you're writing in a genre, you want to read the latest stuff in the genre to keep up with trends, the best way to do that is to buy the ebooks of your fellow authors.
Once you generate a few dozen sales to other authors, the Amazon algorithms bump your books up in search, so they become visible more to the general public searching for books in that category.
You can think of it as author4author or buy4buy.
There are some similarities, but of course difference too, in author/viewer/creator and algorithmic behaviors.
Just my 2 cents worth. Take out of it what you will.

I wouldn't do sub4sub if i was you. They are people that will never watch any of your videos and your view to subscriber ratio will not be looking good :/
