"Sub to me without any video" scum will ruin it for everyone

I know everyone has seen them, the "Get me to 100k or 1million subs without any videos" accounts. They will self promote on big YouTubers videos and disguise it as a social experiment or harmless fun.

Some have speculated they just want to sell a large account to give a new YouTuber a head start. Others have claimed they're just attention seeking children. Truth is they want a free silver or gold playbutton and these losers are going to ruin it for everyone.

YouTube is already having trouble getting these rewards out to people in any kind of timely manner, and they really have no reason to continue giving out these free tokens if reaching these milstones are common. If you see people advertising like this, please report and downvote their comments.

Actually, YouTube evaluates and analyzes a channel before they send out a playbutton. They give it to those who have truly earned it. Once you hit 100k (or 1M), you send your shipping and channel information into YT and then they take a look at your channel to see if you're legit and if you've earned your play button.

I occasionally see that one that is on the forum. I don't know how I feel about, but he is very successful at getting the subscribers. A little too good... yeah but i don't know.

I hate those accounts so much because there's people who actually work so hard on videos to get even 10 subscribers and then they come along and get thousands in a matter of days >.<
literally the most annoying thing ever. I wish youtube would ban them :c

Ehhhhhhhh I mean, do I wish I was that good at getting subscribers? Sure.
Does it annoy me that someone with no videos has infinitely more subscribers than me? Yeah.

Does their subscriber count affect whether or not someone will watch my videos? No.

There are worse things in the world. Can't let everything bother you.

Theres little point achieving it any way, releasing videos in the future to such a broad audience will be a waste of time IMO you would be better off spending time building a niche audience. Anyone spamming comments with check out my channel IMO are best flagged for spam.
