Sub numbers are intimidating!

Dog Crazy
Hey!, I'm new to yttalk and to YouTube itself
And I've made some friends with very few sub's too, by doing tags and tagging them, asking then to do covers, commenting and liking the videos ect..
And hopefully collabing some time
And I really enjoy doing that
But I'm finding it hard to find other youtubers with under 50 sub's
And I'm intimidated by those with more, I'd avoid tagging them even if I'd like to see them do the tag/challenge
Is it just me?
Are you intimidated by people with more sub's?

I'm intimidated by anyone bigger than me physically, which includes 95% of people with 50 subs or less. But no, I am not. People seem to have some odd ego trip with having a decent amount of subscribers as if they're better, it's quite ridiculous. If you ever encounter such a person, they really aren't worth associating with, whether that be personally or just for a collab.

Personally i'm not intimidated, even with people that have 1000's of subs, I don't really mind, they were in my position once with only a few 100 subscribers, so I don't find it scary to ask them anything, you should only promote/tag people that make the same type of videos as you. If someone comes to me asking for a shout out or anything, I won't do it unless they have quality content and similar videos to me. Don't try too hard, and if you're doing youtube for the money, it's not worth wasting your time on it, unless it's a passion of yours, and you genuinely find it fun, keep doing it, because that's how you get successful. You see other youtubers like NigaHiga and the others, you could just tell that their videos were coming from the heart, but not anymore, they just do it to rack in the cash!

We are all YouTubers, all people, working hard to produce the best content that we can.
Anyone with any number of subscribers who thinks that they're better than anyone else on that bloody website is a ********. You don't want to collab with dickheads anyway.
Definitely reach out to people, even if you just up your "ceiling" a little bit to include youtubers with say, up to 200 subs. Those people are more likely to be down-to-earth and there's a whole load of us. Everyone likes to be included in stuff, even if it's just for the sake of a laugh and a collab. Make sure you're tagging people whose content is relevant to yours, though, and you'll have a better chance of a yes.
Also remember, lots of people are really busy, so if they tell you no, it might not be because they are stuck up dickheads, they might just not have enough time to dedicate to a joint project.
But yes, what I'm trying to say is ASK PEOPLE! We all have the same "job" on YouTube and that's to create content. Kudos to you for attempting to get more quality collabs happening.

Nahhh I'm not too intimidated by them. I know that I just started and that big growth won't come so soon. No need to be intimidate.

we can be friends and youtube friends right now, no requirements, just be yourself and try and have some fun, if you got a good quality cam, we could even collab ^^

Why I'm so glad I joined this forum!

You shouldn't be intimidated. All of us started with zero subscribers. While I'm somewhat selective about who I collaborate with, I'm friends with youtubers of all channel sizes, including a bunch of smaller channels on this forum.
