Hey everyone!!
I've been away for a while as I've been super busy moving to London and studying and looking for a job and a lot of crazy stressful stuff... But I'm back and I also started posting videos again. I've realised that by being inactive for only like three weeks I've lost some subscribers, and when I've posted a new video, I can't seem to get my normal amout of views!!
I mean, I don't have a normal amount, it varies of course, but at least my minimum seems to be 100 and now I can't even reach that! Why could that be?
 
As a small channel, people expect consistency, not a wacky schedule, so disappearing for a while as a small channel even if you have a valid explanation and tell your viewers, can and will hurt your channel

just keep working hard, and try to be consitant you'll gain the views back
 
Keep making video and along the way your subscribers will grow. You're making yourself stress thinking about subscribers, why not think of making your content better and better first?

Unfortunately when you are just starting out the only thing that is really going to get people to subscribe and stay subscribed is consistent content. So many people start a channel and just stop making videos. I understand life being a little hectic and getting thrown off your schedule. The best advice I can offer is just start making consistent content again.
 
Consistency is key when starting out I've learned as have a lot of people on here. Just stay positive and motivated and things will turn around for you! Some videos will of course do better than others so don't get too down! Good luck!

I know consistency is key but damn people are quick to unsubscribe! hahah thank you guys, I guess this youtube thing has to be taken really really seriously to ''succeed''.

I hated being away from youtube and I'm so happy to be back :)
 
I thing that's because of you inactivity.I mean before getting inactive you posted regularly,but suddenly you stopped uploading & get inactive.So that's the reason you lose some subs.Cause most of them subscribe for see regular content from you.So I recommend you even if you get inactive for sometime,make a video about your problem & upload it.So that people can understand you're busy in something,that's the reason you're not uploading.You have to be engage with your viewers :)
 
Yeah. I've noticed the same thing. Our channel is pretty small still and I missed one week and our views on the next video more than halved. :( One of the main things is that it hurts your search ranking and I think suggested video results as well.
