Stuck in a rut but...

So I'm currently stuck in a rut, actually quite normal for me, but the weird part is that...it's the festive Xmas period. I thought I should be able to grow during this period but I guess not...
Does festive periods actually help your channel grow? :wideyed2:

nope, people are too busy enjoying the real festival then watching a youtube video about a festival. heck games are better at festival times because it involves the player, videos cant do that.

I assumed it because of Youtube Playbook's insistence on Tent Pole programming. :p

we all know that popular tags, videos, games, news, etc, wont help gain views/subs theres no reason to make another copy. people will always want the original and the internet will send them to the original every time, not a copy. the idea of tent pole (should not be called programing, no code or software) its misleading that's a fake ideal on what people thing on the internet.

When people are off more people watch YouTube. But if your content doesn't resonate with people those views will not be seen by you per say. They'll mostly be seen by the "YouTube" greats.

So you're down in a rut because of views. I hate to state the obvious, but: Stop doing YouTube. You are clearly not enjoying it. Why stick with something you don't enjoy? If your comeback is "I do enjoy it, but the views are low so I feel crappy about that" it's a simple fix. Stop looking at the numbers and enjoy creating content. No matter how many, or how little people watch it.
