I have been streaming daily since monday and i honestly think its better.
Interaction is on a whole other level than youtube.
But its damn hard to get any viewers compared to youtube.

What do you think? Have you tried streaming?
 
I've streamed quite a few times, never on YouTube though. But I think that there's a better chance of getting views on a video, but more interaction will be had on a stream due to real time chat. I don't think streaming works too well unless you have dedicated fans though.

I think you need an established following or you'll always have a small audience. The joy of YT is that we can watch a video when WE want rather than when YOU want to show us. I enjoy livestreams, but I rarely see them live mostly due to bad timing, I often just go back later and watch the recording :)
 
Twitch haves partnerships, but you need 400 viewers everytime you stream, atleast 3 times a day.

I too livestream on a nightly basis, I don't get too many views, tonight was good though averaged around 7 views all night getting up to 12 which is a lot for me :P

Interaction is awesome...when you don't have trolls, annoying 12 year olds that think they're the best at whatever game you're playing, spammers, etc.

Main problem I have with streaming is getting followers to come back, I have over 130 followers on twitch which isn't much, and I can't even get 10 of them to come back on the stream.

But don't get me wrong, I find streaming fun, in fact, I've made a lot more friends from live streaming then on youtube. I start streaming, my friends get on, we play games like minecraft, warcraft 3, everybody talking in teamspeak, having a fun time, it's great :) Just kinda wish I had more fun nights...rather than the forever alone streams lol where I'm basically talking to myself :P
 
I stream quite often and love it. I usually get around 10 viewers at a time but that has grown from like 2-3. Try to make friends with another slightly bigger streamer and they will direct people to your stream as well. That's how I got more people.
