Strange Ways People Get Views

People often come up with some unique ways to get views in an overly saturated market like family videos. I came across a youtube channel called Trinity and Beyond. They posted their first video on December 3rd, 2016 and they are almost at 100,000 subscribers. I thought wow they must be doing some good videos. Actually what they have done is use big kid channels like Ryantoyreviews, CookieSwirlC and FamilyFunPack to get views ostensibly without the channel's permission (using the big channel's name and audio).

They make a video with a cardboard box putting their kids in it and they title the video, "I Mailed Myself to CookieSwirlC with Little Sister IT WORKED!!! Met Evan on Way to Ryans Toy Review." They take audio from the big channels to make it seem like the box is being opened. The cookie video has over 4 million views. The youtube algorithm is something isn't it?

I think kids channels are getting bigger and bigger these days, I'm not entirely sure why...
I think it's a little rough that they're stealing stuff from bigger channels, but I think a huge proportion of people on youtube in general do similar things, using the same sound effects, bg music, titles and thumbnail styles...
I guess it seems to work, though, you get more and more people blowing up on youtube doing the same stuff as everyone else..

There are TONS of channels out there who get lots of views and subscribers by just taking other companies' properties and making something lackluster with it. People wearing Spider-man costumes and doing dialog-free "adventures" with, say, Elsa from Frozen. Just the worst.

However, I try not to let it get me down. There's something about just tricking people into watching for no good reason that can't possibly be fulfilling.

The YouTube algorithm are simply not fair. There are plenty of channels that millions of subscribers that shouldn't and there are people who love and have passion and care about their subscribers who can't grow.

All components of a video are copyright of original creators. Those channels can easily issue strikes to take the content down. Problem is the process is manual. It takes time to search and find infringers. The large channels would be focussed on delivering daily content. Yt had a long was to go to put in safeguards to protect creator IP rights.

I agree. YT changes too fast for them too keep up and they dont bother to even try to keep up. They dont make enough money from it for them to care anymore.
