do it! i imagine it being something like those beatles cartoons or the animated parts of the pink floyd movies the wall :p
I'd actually probably wait till I'm at Reese's place, then do stories that just use still photographs we take. Just take a bunch of pictures and get some of the craziest most expressive looking stills and then narrate a story using them.[DOUBLEPOST=1406591520,1406591432][/DOUBLEPOST]
Makes sense in a way, i guess only tv can pull off weekly shows :p youtube users attention spans are a weeeeeeeeeeee bit tinier!
Plus you're gaining new audience members so rapidly. On television there's huge promotional campaigns before a series drops and the hype it up so that from episode one a large audience is following it. On youtube people just find you as they find you and if they find you first with a video that makes no sense to them cause it's in the middle of the story they may not care to go get filled in.

Symph has it right. Serialized content doesn't do well because it relies on previous episodes to make sense. That makes it very unfriendly to new viewers who join midway through a season.

very good advice for sure. how how about teh method of story telling itself though? doesn't exactly neeeeeed to be serialized really ^^

I can't believe I forgot to point this out, you never actually said these stories would continue throughout each video, haha I got distracted by this new cool term "serialized content"

It sounds very important does it not! I'm actually only now considering serializing it just so i can talk about how i have serialized content, cause i'm pro ;)

You could give it a try. I'd make each episode wrap up a story with a very loose story arc that ties the episodes together. Its going to be hard to get results. Pemberley Digital does it very well but they have a distribution outlet beyond YouTube. So their shows are made for TV first.

Yeah, i think that especially just starting out and experimenting with techniques and styles, it'd best to do a few small, stand alone productions and see how they do. i'll be sure to harass you with links to the finished product in the near future ;)
