My theory is that after a weekend of "Love and flirty" threads, the forum is now doing the walk of shame and full of hate and resentment.

Im kind of, in between Kev's view and the OP's. Of COURSE they're going to promote their cash cows, they're a BUSINESS, DERP. But what I hate is that they don't even seem to TRY to help small channels in ANY way. And the degree to which they push those channels is RIDICULOUS. Like maybe they should have a feature in the recommended part where if they recommend a channel something pops up that says "don't care for this content? Click here to not be notified of this channel's videos" THAT would be nice. When repzion keeps showing up in my feed time and time again and I'm just like "do you really think I don't know who he is? Seriously?" It's pretty ridiculous. But to act like they should be NOT promoting their high end channels is silly too. that's like if a restaraunt were like "Hey, let's only promote our worst selling products, we've made enough money off the best sellers don't ya think?"

It would be nice to see Google actually promote small and medium sized channels a little more than all the channels with 2m or more subs most of the time.
