Oh I disagree with this. You can make amazing content and never be seen because no one is giving you the chance to be seen. Or you can make mediocre content like some like Joey Graceffa or Conor Franta and have millions of subs just because you do hundreds of collabs and have Ryan Cabrera hair that girls like for some reason. In this instance, sometimes 'hard work' doesn't work pay off.
It would be amazing if YouTube made a way for small channels to get noticed and not just wait until they blow up to give a crap, but I suppose that's never going to happen.
With that being said, I agree that people are being melodramatic about the whole Google thing.

the amount of hate i would get from it would be glorious as thats what my channel is mainly based off of but i dont like telling people what are wrong with them or their content, i rather compliment, unless its pewdiepie, i just have a special dislike for his content.

You totally missed me with this point. Channel size is not always a reflection of a channel's video quality and content. Many big channel stay strong because their fan base accepts anything thrown their way. Being big doesn't translate to unique. You will be surprised about how many high quality channels are very small. Hell, there are big channels with awful video quality and they are going strong.

They already have a similar program in place called On The Rise, but you or your fans submit your channel instead of just a single video. Channels over 100k subscribers are not eligible. After the submission process, they announce the finalists and voting determines the winner each month. The winner gets a feature and press on youtube's social media pages.

Well I believe 100% that if you put out original, clever, and unique content, you will grow independently.
I am not trying to be cocky, but I started vlogging on Sep 22 2013 and already have 360 subscribers. Im not saying my content is AMAZING and THE BEST EVER but i practice what i preach. By using social media and making quality videos, my channel grows fast. Maybe I am just lucky but I find it immature to blame youtube for your problems.
Make good videos. Use social media. Stay on schedule. Be original.
