Not sure what you'd call it....but I read about it here. What are your thoughts? I see a channel that hasn't had a post in over a year of the same thing we make videos for. They still get tons of views...100k+ range, and comments STILL. Several have posted, no new videos in over a year, where did you go....stuff like that? WWYD. I'd love to get more subs/views....should I go in an post on several of the videos to check out my channel...or is that a no no?

hmmm ok, I wondered about that. There was a post on YT that talked about getting more sub's and said that it was ok to do that on a dead channel. Just didn't know how to go about doing it without being tacky....making people mad or breaking a rule. Just saw an opportunity and didn't know if I should do it or not

Yeah its spam, And Id say don't do it
You'll give your channel a bad name, and the creators whose videos your commenting on wont appreciate it either

You will get further leaving a high quality comment that gets likes.. than leaving a "spam" comment. Most spam is automatically filtered out. so there is a chance that no one will see it. Also, if you develop a pattern of spamming even your sincere comments will be filtered out.
