Spike in views - is this real?

I'm curious how you've experience such explosive growth Gaming X! Just a few weeks ago I was your 2nd or 3rd subscriber, ha ha. Maybe it's because you covered a racing game not many people have covered? It helps that you appeared towards the top of the searches when I looked it up.
 
Congratulations on your spike! I actually had a similar experience with my own channel. One day I was getting 5, maybe 10 views - the next month I started getting like 30,000 views on one of my videos, and a few thousand on my others. I think it's got something to do with the amount of time and effort you put in. You're obviously doing something right, keep up the good work!
