Spamming :I does it work???

Tell me a channel where i can't get a top comment and i'll get the top comment with zero subs. Obviously no trick channels with comments disabled or anything. I'll even get people to subscribe too. And your talking about threshold, it's very easy to get around that too.

karl of duty: Maybe you first want to upload some videos before you even think about the topic "subscribers" :D
It's a great idea to promote your channel on other peoples videos. But not through spamming but rather through useful comments :)
And my opinion about growing:
If you make bad videos, you will never grow.
If you make good videos, you will grow - slowly, step by step.
If you make really good, funny and entertaining, or very interesting and useful videos, then there is no way you won't be recognized. You will. You definitely will.
 
I am learning there is a thin line between spamming & promoting your channel. As long as you are respectful of others & promote content that fits the conversation & interact you should be ok.

You must be confused. Victoria knows what she's talking about. She went from 0 to 2k subs in a few months from commenting. And she means if you have more subs, it's easier to get top comment. Not "If you have zero subs it's impossible to get top comment." There's a filter in settings that lets youtubers with a certain amount of subs (e.g 500, 2000, 10000) get top comment priority.

OP, don't listen to everyone that says spamming is "horrible" and "won't get you subs" or "only gives you hate and inactive subs". None of it is really true. It's just really seen as taboo on youtube. And especially on yttalk because everyone spreads the rumor that it's so horrible and such. In all honesty, spamming "Hey come check out my channel!" can get you LOTS of subs and views and likes. Yes, you will get lots of hate but then you weigh out "Hmmm. Does it matter if I have 300 likes and 200 dislikes if I have an active sub base that loves me?" And then those people typically disable their like bar.
I personally hate it. I've never done it ever in my life. But there was a kid that's been spamming on channels for half a year. He only had like 4k at the time. I just recently went on his channel and now he has almost 20k. No viral videos. His most popular video has 24k views. It's insane. I'm not promoting the idea and telling everyone to do it because it's annoying seeing that irrelevant crap. I'm just being honest and letting you know what everyone else won't reveal because it's taboo.
 
Nobody likes a spammer.

I know i completely avoid spammers on purpose. I also know that I am not alone in this.
 
I would not recommend spamming on any channel. YouTube keeps a list of links on a whitelist. For example, Wikipedia links, Flickr links, and amazon links are allowed, but not getfreecode.com or whatever that is.
