Sony Vegas pro settings?!?

So when I render my videos, usually around 4-5 minutes long, they are ridiculously huge and take like 900 minutes to upload to Youtube (I have VDub, don't worry). But is there a way to make the file size a lot smaller? Right now I render with the avi codec.
 
Don't render to AVI. I recommend Sony AVC. AVIs are uncompressed. The Sony AVC codec is faster than the MainConcept one in render times and is just as good quality. The default Internet 720P settings seem to be pretty good for me.

I wasnt aware of that I will have to try it out. I use MainConcept all the time.
