Sony Vegas Mac Substitute

So, I have a new Macbook and I'm looking for a substitute for Sony Vegas Pro that I was using on my PC. I want something that operates similarly to Sony Vegas because I don't feel like learning an entirely new software, unless you guys feel like there's one program that is worth it. I'm not a fan of iMovie. Any recommendations?

There's Final Cut Pro X. It's like the pro version of IMovie, plus there's an entire class on FCP: youtube.com/watch?v=nklZhdbP5cw (The guy in the video talks so clearly and professionally, not some 13 year old talking to a mic).

I could be wrong, but I feel that FCP is a bit more comparable to Premiere Pro than Sony Vegas.

Vegas is pretty unique.

Either way, if you are familiar with Vegas, learning another program shouldn't be as bad, the worst part will be breaking habits, not necessarily learning how to do things.
