Hey guys,

I just bought myself a new camera, which makes only .mov video files.
And now I have a problem, cause my Sony Vegas imports only avdio from that .mov files.
Any suggestion how to solve this problem?

Are you able to check the file on another computer with Vegas on it or share the file here? Is it playing in Quicktime fine? If you want you can PM me it if you upload it to Dropbox or somewhere and I can test it in Vegas on my end to see if its an issue with the file.

I checked on the internet and saw other people with the same problems. It`s playing fine in Quicktime.
I Will upload it on dropbox and share it with you. I hope that I won`t have any problems, cause the file size of the video is 3GB.

That will take a long time to upload but it should be fine I think. With it playing fine in Quicktime you would expect it to be fine in Vegas, I had a problem once with Vegas and installing Quicktime solved it for me, have you installed any codec packs recently?

Hmmm, about codec packs...I don`t know. I think not.

P.s.
I won`t upload file to dropbox cause I must to install new version (old one apparently doesn`t work anymore).
Thanks a lot anyway Michael.[DOUBLEPOST=1413619173,1413619022][/DOUBLEPOST]I Will try to convert it to .mp4 file and see what happens.

No problem, you could try reinstalling it or somehow testing the file on another Vegas at some point. Good luck :)[DOUBLEPOST=1413619258][/DOUBLEPOST]I would also test other mov files from the camera to rule out that its not every file.

Now first thing I will try is to convert to .mp4 file and see what happens.
If it won`t work I Will try to reinstall Sony Vegas.
And if that won`t work I Will try with Adobe Premiere.

This is all that I can think off.

P.s.
Sony Vegas does that to every single .mov file on my computer.

I would try with Premiere right away if you use that too and forget Vegas :D I have had a problem before where I installed the K Lite Codec pack and messed up all my drivers and when rendering in Vegas the videos came out blocky. The only way I got that fixed was a reformat and reinstallation of Windows.
