Sony Vegas Help!

Hey guys! My Sony Vegas Pro 13 just stopped loading my videos into my editing software. It doesn't allow me to drag it into the timeline. Can you guys help?
 
1st Question, did you buy your copy of Vegas? and 2nd If you did, have you been keeping up on your updates?

My mom actually edits videos for her school assembly and stuff like that so she got the activation keys from her job so idk if its legit or not? If the school bought it I'm almost positive it is because they also gave her all Sony and Adobe software's. So I'm wondering if I could just re-install it and punch the keys back in.

The keys usually don't work more than once, but check online to see if there are any patches or updates. Re-install only when you try everything else, in case you can't reuse the keys.
