Sony Vegas free?

I'm not sure, the price I quoted was Sony Vegas Pro 12
 
I use vegas 11. I think I got it and all the plugins I have for it illegally. If i bought it would of ran me close to $200 or maybeeven more with all the 3rd party stuff I have for it.
 
There is a version called Movie Studio Platinum that has the basic features of Vegas. I'm sure you want Vegas, but if that's not possible there is this version which you can get for around $50 on Ebay. There is a comparison chart that lists the different features of all of Sony's video software offerings, but I can't post a link yet since I'm a new member, but if you google "versions of sony vegas" it's the first result.
 
Try videopad $40'ish - it's basic but has some good transitions & effects.

I downloaded it on a trial version and it was to expire in 15 days but after a year of using it, it still has not expired. Shhhh!
 
Pirating it , works but of course that is illegal :p (Sony seem not to care)
Another way is Ebay as you might find someone is selling a cheap copy!
Yet Another way is to see older versions are cheaper as there is not too much difference between them!
 
I tried, seems the software forced to update automatically. Tired to find free one, now I'm with Smartpixel for my youtube game videos.
