I have worked only with Sony Vegas 11 Pro,I have faced a lot of problems (like crashing etc.).So,my question is : Is Sony Vegas Movie Studio better with extra features, addons, effects?Share your experience/s if you have worked with one of/both of the programs.
I prefer Pro, Movie Studio lacks a few features that pro has that I need such as compositon modes, similar to blending modes in Photoshop, in Movie Studio I believe that is missing, I cant remember exactly what else was missing but there was more, hopefully someone with more experience with them both will help here.
i used both vegas pro and movie studio. studio just keeps crashing when you tell it to do alot in a short amount of time. its weird. I have had no problems with Pro though. Windows Movie Maker FTW! (sarcasm).
I use Vegas Pro it has the best workflow and all the needed options but it does crash so much
I learned to save very often and almost know by instinct when it will crash.
I have Premiere Pro but the workflow is just so horrible, even just creating a document is a pain, followed by importing footage, a pain, then encoding a further pain... even if it is technically better in some ways all the bad things add up to make Vegas my go to editor.

i own Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 and it does indeed have composite mode. watch one of my videos with the reel to reel tape recorder simulation, there are 3 video layers. that's not possible without the ability to blend
