Something I have realized...

You know how some people say it's good to remind your viewers to like, comment, and subscribe at the end of your video? Yeah so, one of my favorite youtubers always complains about this and I actually respect what he says. Like, it does sort of make you sound a bit desperate and all....sort of. And he says that when he personally watches people and they say to like, comment, and subscribe; he wants to do the complete opposite!

So I decided to try this recently and lately, I have been getting more likes than usual and comments and subbies!! I dunno if it actually works, or if it's just luck or something. But whatever it is, it actually makes my videos look non-desperate, lol.

Just thought I would share this n___n I just thought it was interesting, haha.
that's good :)
I don't tell them i let them know in the description which seems to work best as i am not wasting there time in the video.
description and that seems to work beter than eating there time in the video.

I think the Opposite is true, at least the Opposite of what you said in the OP works for me... and infact I have opened a thread here and posted the exponential growth that I got because of Asking them to Subscribe, Comment and Like....

have a look at the results I got... having said that, I would like to answer on few valid questions that's been raised here...

1. Not to sound Desparate!! Absolutely, be cool in asking, not sounding desparate, nor crying and begging for Subcribers and Comments, but rather showing them the Value in Subscribing to the Channel, and your Excitement and Willingness to answer to their queries if any...

2. People do the opposite... it's a completely wrong Assumption... remember, there are two kind of people who will watch you and your channel... a) Those who are youtubers b) Purely viewers...... the youtubers can understand your desparation and your eagerness to grow the channel, but the Pure Viewer is not aware of all this Analytics, he or she is ready to take action if you showed them, what to do... so forget about 'Struggling Youtubers' like me... ;) and focus on your real Viewers, tell them how to get more videos and that you are open to further queries... they will be more than willing to oblige.

If you don't ask, you will not Receive.. it's pure and simple law.... Ask and you shall receive.
I had been a Salesman all through my life, and I just know how important it is to close the Sale, and ask for a commitment... or else you will be just doing a lot of activity without any real conversion.
