I'm pretty sure remastering, derivative work and reproduction are ok as long as you indicate that its for non-profit use / entertainment only. You're asking how to obtain permission to monetize these works; I suggest check YouTube Copyright School (Google it) and also e-mail them or owners of these videos to get directly to the source, I notice sometime remastered remixes up but the ads produce revenue to the original content owner rather than the uploader. You can always shoot your questions to uploaders who succeeded in obtaining permissions, maybe some are on here.

exactly! the first atleast 100 posts i see usually from new members is stuff we have answered from time to time again but we answer it. You did not post a link to a topic that answered his question you posted a link to a thread that mad him feel like his question was stupid.
