Solo or Team?

Heyo everyone!

So, I posted a thing on Imgur to celebrate my 50 sub mark a few days ago. In doing this I got quite a few comments about my channel and how I was progressing, as well as how other people progress. And around 20 subs as well from that, which I was rather happy about, though there's no way to know if they're actually watching my content.

One of these was a comment that a team of people got to 500k subs in two years on their channel (don't know what kind of channel, but most of the team is writers). There are also a good deal of people who succeed on a much slower level by being solo. Though I think it completely depends on the genre and type of videos, as some areas (gaming) are over saturated with the same content.

I don't know if it's personal preference or if it's a proven thing that 'teams' succeed better and faster than solo or what.

Depends on what your partners would be doing. If you're partnered up with people to do the exact same thing, it will only help you get to your goals in a slower timeframe. If you're working with people who are helping you market yourself and one's getting advertisement deals and one's really talented with video editing, then it's a different story. It all depends on what work you put out there and your persistence. A solo could do much better than a whole team if he/she really wanted to.

Hmm personally I'd rather go solo, but teams can always produce more content and the chemistry is what is good for them. They're tons of youtubers that collab with others constantly. At the same time it isn't always easy to run one channel divided by many. Ultimately I think it comes down to preference and what people would rather do.

I think that a team would probably end up having more content and have more interesting elements within the video compared to one person only. Never tried but going team would be great!
