Socialblade updates its ranking algorithm.

YTtalk's Anti-Boredom Youtuber
So Socialblade finally updates their ranking algorithm (according to their Twitter) after who knows how long, so what do you think?
I personally find it fairer to new Youtubers, the ranking better reflects their standings now from what I can see.
Also I finally got the C- rank I have been chasing since Oct 2013, so yeah I like it. :D

What do you think about the SB ranking system now? :wideyed2:

It's about time...for the past year I've been wondering how I could be ranked so much lower than channels who had less views and weren't getting nearly the daily views we were getting. We were always a B+ no matter what because they stack-ranked and long-established channels with a kabillion videos and inactive subs still seemed to have a big advantage, even though we were out-earning and out-viewing them every day.

We're now an A- which sounds about right. Not sure if it matters in the grand scheme of things but at least I feel the rankings are a little more credible now.

Yeah I noticed while a lot of people benefitted from this, some got hit hard, I'm just gonna assume the ones with inactive subs, etc. I think the rankings grading got doubled too. C used to be 250,000 to 500,000, now I think it's 500,000 to 1,000,000 or something.

Oh wow I just checked and I got upgraded to a C, lol - been stuck at a D+ for forever - did they say how they changed it specifically?

Their Twitter: "Heads up grading algorithm has been updated (was long overdue & will happen again soon too) a bit so your letter grades may have changed :)"
Supposedly the grading system is fairer and has a wider range, and the algorithm using the views and subs to determine the rank got changed. My rank like jumped by 200,000 from that change alone, so I'm guessing some serious changes were made.

I went from D+ to C today. I skipped C-. Maybe this is why? That's nice though.
I'm curious how they changed it and hope they put a blog up to demonstrate.

I went from D+ to C- earlier when they updated the algorithm, than jumped up to C when they changed the range of the grades to accomodate the sheer number of Youtubers now. So yeah. :)

From B- we became C+. This is so unfair!
I think I gonna start a petition for the re-installment of the old ranking system. :p
