Social Blade / YouTube - overreporting views?

Has anyone had an official word from YouTube on this yet? I'd like to know if it's affecting other stats in the YouTube analytics, has anyone else noticed any unusual changes in your analytics reports? So far mine appear to be normal, it's just the total view count for the channel.

I've noticed that there were no views for 13 January, only earnings were displayed for that date. So this bug definitely affects youtube analitics.

This is what social blade said. "Seeing reports of view spikes today. Not a bug on our site. Looks like YouTube is doing a view audit giving "free" views."

Social Blade sent me this:

Social Blade Support Team, Jan 16, 10:35 AM EST:

"Hi Mommy B, it looks like YouTube adjusted view counts. "

Looks like they are real views from an audit. Not new views though.

This has happened to all my channels. I've gotten way more views in the last few days than I usually do. Well according to Socialblade and my "About" page on Youtube at least. My realtime analytics is showing WAY less views lol.

Is it possible Youtube is including the lifetime views instead of public views. I have about the same amount of video views set to private as which is shown in the spike yesterday.

Two days ago my total views was at around 70K then the next day it went to 86K and then today it went to 92K views. This is weird because I don't get that amount of views at all. I checked the videos and there aren't any dramatic increase. Also, on Adsense, it said I did not make those amount of views...

Hmmm.. did this happen to any of you guys?

I have now noticed that I have a few hundred views more per day than usual, but the views on the videos are the same as usual.
Since I used to average <50 views per day, Now I suddenly have >200 views per day!
