It's not your fault. Viral Spiral is a joke. Here is my experience with them:
I would like to take this opportunity to warn perspective clients of “Viral Spiral Group”/ “Rightster Entertainment A” as to their questionable business practices which I personally experienced. I was solicited by them when my Youtube video went viral. They enticed me with promises of lucrative licenses that they would be able to secure for me through their extensive network of users. I signed a 2 year contract for a modest percent of the licenses fees they acquire, but 50% of all Youtube ad revenue. After taking over the 2 leads I already had, they secured only one more contract; after that, they never found another one. However, they continued to take 50% of my ad revenue for 2 years (doing nothing in return)! Now, I just became aware that I missed a 30 day deadline, and without notifying me, they automatically renewed the contract for another two years! After repeated requests to release me from the contract, they refused and said they will continue to take 50% of my ad revenue for the next two years! They told me that there was nothing I could do about it because the clause can be found somewhere in the contract and therefore they had no duty to release me from the contract. It is obvious to me that they never really had any intention of finding licenses for me, all they wanted was access to 50% of the ad revenue for which they do nothing in return; knowing full well that their clients would not catch that renewal clause and be bound for another 2 years. I feel there is a breach of contract on Viral Spiral Viral/ Rightster Entertainment A’s part but it would not be worth it for me to pursue this through legal channels. Therefore, I feel all I can do, and feel obligated to do, is to educate the public as to what I see are obvious unethical business practices by “Viral Spiral Group”/ “Rightster Entertainment A” and perhaps prevent others from making the same mistake as I have.
Sincerely,
T.O.
