So I just posted my review for the anime series 'Haven't you Heard? I'm Sakamoto' and not 10 minutes since it's up I got a comment that said- Video shared and posted on 'insert link here' from TrendingVid.Com (that's the Youtuber name). I already got 5 views in less than 20 minutes which is fast for my channel, especially with everyone being out and about on the 4th of July.... the thing is, is this legit? Anyone ever heard or dealt with these guys? I don't want to be botted and lose my channel.
 
I checked out the site and got a generic "buy this URL" kind of site. I think you might be dealing with an inception-type situation. Good luck.

It seems a LOT of people are experiencing the same thing, but I can't tell if they know about it or what. Maybe I'll contact some of them.[DOUBLEPOST=1467664260,1467664198][/DOUBLEPOST]I wonder if I should post a video about it or if it would be asking for trouble? I mean, on the surface, they're not stealing from me. They clearly say it's my video and they encourage whoever's watching it to like and subscribe.... but forgive me if I'm being jaded with not believing that there are people helping out random small channels out of the goodness of their heart....

You have to admit its kind of weird that they didn't contact you in a better way before they started promoting your video/channel, but like you said, they aren't exactly stealing anything from you. Contacting others that have had the same thing happen would be a good idea imo
 
One of them replied with a 'Thanks... I guess!' when they got shared, so they also had no idea they were about to be added to this site.
 
Hmmm. I suppose. Everyone I contacted so far is also confused. Most of them also posted up their video a little over an hour ago and had their stuff shared to the site a few minutes afterwards. They should probably clear the air a little. If they were to comment, it might help bring much more promotion that being sneaky about it.

i agree. Also, are they promoting multiple videos on each individual channel or just one video per channel?
