And this is from an artist that submitted his track to me so I could promote him and a few days later he striked me with no reason, and he also deleted the track links.
And now I cannot:
Appeal Content ID claims
Cannot upload unlisted and private videos
Live streaming ability has been revoked.

Hope that he retracts the claim :/ else I wouldn't be able to live stream music as a 1k subscriber special...:(

Wow that's horrible, have you tried contacting him about this, I don't think that he would have done this if you were trying to help him out. There is no point trying to contact YouTube so you will need to ask him what happened. If he doesn't respond you will probably have to try go through that copyright school (I'm not sure what it is all about sorry) and hopefully that will sort thing out.

That is dishonest and low. But, it is yet another reason why I work with content I shot myself. And no one else has that footage either, so there is nothing to dispute.

A couple things might have happened, it could have been someone who just forwarded you someone else's work. Then you got a copyright strike for it.

But what I would do is I'd take screen shots of any interaction you had with this person and send it in as a dispute. Write what the situation was and if it's some online class thing where you watch youtube videos and answer questions just go through the copyright school to get it over with. Tell them that's what you're doing. Doing the thing can't really hurt too much, plus if someone reviewed your account and claim they'd see 'ok well he seems to be interested in making sure this doesn't happen again.'

Click the go to copyright school link on your channel. You will just have to watch a video discussing copyrights. then you have to answer like 10 questions that are multiple choice proving you actually watched it. Then your account will reactivate. I this happen with my first channel long ago, before I figured out how all this works.

Wow I never knew about this! I've had third party claims on my channel before but the most that's happened is a video was blocked. My channel hasn't ever been revoked access because of it! I'm really sorry this happened to you!
