I have never agreed with you more on a topic Frankie. In my eyes it comes down to this. Isn't YouTube supposed to be about being able to watch for whatever reason you want to watch it? Let's be real here. Sex sells and it will help views a lot of the times. On either sex like Frankie said. I can't tell you how many videos I have clicked on that I had no intention to, just because there was a hot chick on the thumbnail. It's like saying there should be rules to vlogging or gaming. It's fair game.

Thank you this is my point exactly. A girl having 10,000 more subs than you won't affect how your channel fares in YouTube land (unless of course she's slamming your videos, but that's a whole different kettle of fish lol).

I just get so sick of it. I'm no feminist, but it's just sexism and jealousy.

Tobuscus has flashed his abs more than once and uses provocative titles/thumbs to get people in. Pewds has almost gotten naked (and has used alluring thumbs). Markiplier uses the fact girls LOVE his sexy voice. Jacksfilms also has used his looks. NigaHiga wears tight muscle vests to show off his toned physique.

Fact is, male or female, there ain't one ugly YouTuber in the top 20 most loved channels.

Just because men don't have squishy bits on their fronts it doesn't make it any different. The only problem people have here is boobs. And it's just.... well it's childish. They're just boobs. They feed babies and they make running difficult. It can be difficult to hide them when they're large without wearing a sack.

The only people you can blame for any of it, if you think it's a problem, are the people who view and subscribe to her videos.

I've seen it a lot on twitch.

A girl with a shirt off does by no means imply they are a better gamer.
The people that are on there to play the game and enjoy rather than seek attention through lack of clothing will get viewers and have fun still. So no worries

Yeah but if I am looking for a specific type of good gamer I generally know who I want to go watch. If I want to see a hot chick gamer, I can find them too. I think some people take it too serious really.

This isn't applying to all girl gamers at all but I see these few on twitch on youtube with these ridiculous tactics in getting views.

Such as
1.Naming videos topless something wearing just a sleeveless dress
2. Ex p**n stars on twitch letting people know....why what is that point you did it your out so are you trying to get attention to grow your channel from it.
3. Always taking about sex videos

I can go on and on its just getting to be very annoying I know a lot of good girl gamers on youtube. But these just ahhhhhhhhhhhhh annoy the crap out of me.



What are your guys thoughts on these and if you want me to link channels and examples I will do?

Sometimes I like some good lulz and will pop in and check out the chat for the day.

But what Twerkin was saying, I agree that it is annoying they can use their bodies to generate views.
I get why he would be frustrated.
But I don't believe their channels are ANY better.
Their boobs are just out.

I despise Ray William Johnson. I've tried, but I think he's untalented and unfunny and steals all his material. But around 8 million subscribers say differently.

I just don't see why folks can't say 'well I can't stand this channel, so I'll go away and never come back'. There's just so much bashing on women that go on YouTube and show their faces.

Seriously, there's one of these threads made about every three weeks for the last six months!

From a guy's perspective it IS better because their boobs are out. But what does that have to do with competition? Let me say it like this. It is like saying that the Disney channel doesn't have a chance because there is so many channels that show skin or cleavage or hell even softcore p**n. Disney still thrives. Why? Because there is a market for people who don't like edgy stuff or for age appropriate people. I don't think it hinders Disney at all just like I don't think it hinders any other gamers views.

Doesn't bother me much when girls do it. Actually bothers me more when guys use boobs in their thumbnails to get more views, example:

I don't know why... it just does. Girls showing off their "goods" don't bother me so much. I mean, I don't respect them as much as other girl youtubers, and I would never subscribe to their channels, but if that's the type of audience they want, so be it. I dress and act a certain way in my videos to gain an audience who I can connect with. Not men oogling my goodies. They won't ever get huge doing that, because they only appeal to 1 type of YouTuber...the creep.

How is it any more annoying than what is on tv? I think these threads saying they're annoying is REALLY people just getting frustrated on how to get views etc. We all go there sometimes. I get that way too. But this is 2013. Personally I just think of it as an advantage if you are sexy and pull it off on video. If I had the same sex appeal I would be doing it too. Like I said, it doesn't hinder anyone. If I want a good source for information, not boobs, then I look at what they are saying. If they have boobs, and seem to know what they are talking about why wouldn't I? If they gave you a free pizza while watching their video you would watch right? It is just a bonus.

But does it really affect you? Affect your life, if some blonde lady gets her boobs out?

Not really. So move on, ignore the channel. That's what people need to do. Leave a bad review/comment if it'll make you feel better, but so much negative attention is drawn and I just don't get it.
