So I decided recently that I wanted to do some gameplay commentaries to add some variety to my channel as well as unboxings. The problem I have seen is that there are a lot of gaming channels just in general. I'm wondering what can be done to stand out from the rest

Not a lot really to be honest.

The biggest thing will be from your humor. IF your humor is different then people will totally watch your videos.

The only thing that can be done really is TRY and be original... which is hard because there are so many channels out there obviously and everyone is competing but maybe try and find something that hasn't bee done before that looks like it has potential, play a game in a totally new and different way! Maybe try and dig deep to find games that haven't been played by the popular youtubers yet! :)

Hope this helped :)

You can stand out by doing something different whether thats the way you behave or showcase the games you play and edit them etc I wouldnt worry too much about being fake, most videos are planned and everyone acts in their own way for video, for example I doubt PewDiePie screams so much when he plays games alone and I dont believe that the prank channels go around pranking everyone at every opportunity they get, it is all a performance for the viewers entertainment.

You see, I think that its hard to jump straight into Gaming Videos, however, if you build up a solid community of followers, I believe that if you do gaming videos, your viewers will watch it because they enjoy watching you as a person, and most of the things you do is entertaining to them, and after having a quick look over your channel, I think that your views really fluctuate depending on the type and topics of your videos. You could give it a shot, make it as interesting as you can without overdoing it and then make your own judgement as to whether its a good idea or not.

Also, something I learnt recently is that tags are extremely important. You can set up some default tags and then add others at any time, and I think if you don't add vital tags, you video won't do anywhere near as well

Yeah the views are not consistent at all. Granted the channel has really grown but still trying to get some consistency

Play the newest games and upload as fast as you can.
