So I'm recording a game for a let's play, a very scary one. And I have changed NO setting since playing my last game ELEMENTARY MEMORIES. Yet I start playing this one, I do a quick test and the quick minute of recording words fine, so I start the game. About 20 minutes in, I die in the game. I go ok, that should be enough and it seemed like a good recording. I go to watch the video. first 2-3 minutes in, seems fine, can hear myself well, voice is clear, etc.

Then AGAIN this happens to me, randomly during the recording, after changing NOTHING, my voice echos. Example, I say OH CRAP, and about a second later you hear that same OH CRAP. And it continues the rest of the recording. This isn't the first time it started out fine and then randomly echos later. I'm so sick of it. It isn't really fun trying to recapture some of the magic of the first playthrough and pretend like I didn't just play that part.

Anyway. Does anyone else have this problem, what is it, and how do I fix it? It's just really weird that it does it in the middle of it, instead of the whole time. It doesn't gradually do it either, just bam, starts echoing. Wearing headphones so it isn't the mic catching the speakers.

you can click to enlarge. This is in OBS

Hey man, are you recording using fraps? I think OBS may be causing your microphone to be recorded twice, with the delay coming from OBS possibly.

Would be really helpful to us to know exactly what you're doing :)

Well like I said I recorded elementary memories with no problem and changed no settings since but it seems to be completely random to me. But, I am not the best at describing and not the smartest guy when it comes to technical stuff but. I'm recording using OBS which also records the voice and the game audio and you can do the facecam in the corner with obs so I like it a lot better than fraps . I can get some screen shots of my settings in there if you want?

Can you check the audio settings of the webcam? The webcam voice/video can go out of sync, and it may be adding it's audio in to the recording

I once recorded like 40-50 minutes worth of a game to find out I was never recording anything. I had to start all over. So annoying lol.
