So, basically it is over for most Content Creators?

All I would say is - if you are doing this for money exclusively you probably won't last as a channel.

For me (granted just starting out for myself) I am doing it for fun as a hobby. Should I make money down the line then happy days, but it isn't the goal.

I haven't experienced any change in advertising and income. But my channel only has original content and there is no profanity.

So if you have a channel that hijacks other people's content, with no regard to copyright, quoting the fair use thing, then it looks like your time is up.

No wonder YT finally got a slap on the wrists for allowing this legal bombshell to continue.

The good thing is that original content channels will be encouraged, and get a better slice of available advertising.

You can't be serious? 80% of the videos I watched on YouTube has so much damn ads. It's starting to p**s me off. 1 video I watched had 6 of them in a 17 minute time frame. Ads are totally flooded on YouTube these days.

I earn more money from the aliexpress affiliate program than from youtube ad sense. So there is always some other way to make income other than ad sense. However, I think if your videos are not monetized, they will not give them preference to grow fast.

I saw a video of an artist who was talking about this very topic. She said she asked YT to review her channel and ads started to pop up again. She is very reputable so I know that her info is accurate.

I've recently noticed that right now i rarely see ads on videos. This used to be a real problem to me because i watch a lot of videos and was a little sick of being hit with so many ads on pretty much every video. But now i rarely see advertisment on youtube. I know there were certain changes, but for what i can see, those changes were absolutely major. I'm talking about pretty much every big channel i follow not having ads on their videos. And a lot of them don't seem to be controversial in any way.

So, this essentially means that most content creators now, even the big ones, aren't making any money at all? It's kind of strange because they still continue making videos. Kidbehindacamera, for example. No ads on his videos, but he keeps uploading as always. Where is revenue coming from? Or are people working for free now?

Possibly a dip in advertising revenue depending on your content. I know "non-family friendly" channels and channels that express unpopular political opinions are getting hit hard. However, there's power in numbers...having a high number of subscribers and viewers = something to sell.

This means there are a variety of ways to still make money, because if you convert even the smallest % of your subs/viewers then your sponsors and you win. Affiliate links, sponsor deals, merch, pateron, YouTube live, any and all ad revenue, contract deals, etc...the money is still there.
