Small youtuber tag

I'm gonna feel stupid if this is sarcasm, but the first that comes to mind are Tyler Oakley, Joey Graceffa, those 'type' of youtubers.
I knew you linked me to that dude to troll me![DOUBLEPOST=1403419323,1403418980][/DOUBLEPOST]Like I wish you could have heard the reaction in my head when you did that I clicked on Joey first and I watched for a few seconds, it hadn't really clicked yet that this wasn't actually a weird channel so I was going "hmm.. maybe this is not the good stuff.." tried another video "No this is typical too..." tried one more "you know I'm becoming convinced that this isn't only not weird and funny... this is typical and stupid.. and to a degree that is obnoxious! Stef thinks this guy is weird??" And then as SOON as I saw the O2 channel or whatever they're called, I IMMEDIATELY wondered if this was One Direction's channel, but not as a joke, not as some typical diss, I literally thought maybe One Direction had a vlogging channel under a different name for a minute, and that's when I came back and was like "I halfway think you just trolled me.."

I feel stupid for not being certain now. You've known me for 2 years, of COURSE you didn't think I'd like that, DERP.

I can disagree with it! hahaha seriously though I mean I used to think kind of like that but some people just like feeling a part of something. They see someone do something that they feel looks fun, they want to join in. If a bunch of kids are playing dodge ball and you want to play cause you think it looks fun, does joining in mean you "can't think for yourself"? of course not. I think your statement only applies to channels that basically thrive soley off of tags and the like.

I honestly wasn't gonna say any of that until I heard "it's hard to disagree with that statement" and took it as a challenge lmao

You can either be a trend setter or a mundane trend follower :)

Tags can be fun, and there a lot of small YouTubes that do tags that are really entertaining and fun. But, from experience, whenever I did a tag video it was because I couldn't or didn't feel like coming up with something original.

I just did it because I saw it on the forum somewhere! Just a tag where you answer questions about your channel and what you expect from it. Like a mini-interview for yourself.

That's honesty right there. You just gotta respect it

Interesting thing to note though. While you're right, imagine if everyone took this advice and decided they didn't want to be followers and stopped going with trends. There would literally be no trend setters anymore. Trend setters actually need trend followers or there would be no trends. Whoaaaa mind splosion

Actually yeah! I didn't even think about that! And something else... it would practically make it impossible to monopolize any market! Once there became so many people wanting a product it was starting to trend, it would stop being bought cause everyone would go "well I was gonna get that but quite a few people are starting to so I'll do something else" That.. would be... AWESOME.

But...that's not to say that people who do tags aren't creative or can't be creative. Tags can be a great way for your viewers to get to know you by answering questions - so they do serve their purpose. I don't believe in the 'REAL ARTISTEZzzz' YouTubers. That's sort boring. If y0u're having fun, and you're viewers can feel that...you're already on the right track.
