I Love YTtalk
So, I had this concept in mind where I would sing along with famous songs. Although I'm not sure what footage you can choose and if it would be copyrighted yes or no...
 
Against copyright for sure if you are using too much of copyrighted videos
and sing along thing is nothing but the concept of covering a song
So
Instead of singing along just make a/or many cover song(s)

And if I make use of lyrics videos of songs that are in singstar/just dance?

well as long as its you and not the video part it is fine and I don't think it will be a prob if you show lyrics
And actually you can use video parts BUT remember there is something called fair use so use them but not TOO MUCH
there is no law which determines exactly how much is too much
so be careful
I recommend not to use but you can use some very very small snippets
If youtube blocks your video I prefer remove those snippets

I recommend that you're VERY careful, Fair Use is a very shady area of copyright and grants you nothing up front. It is true that in the Fair Use copyright Act you are allowed to publish short snippets of copyrighted material, be they video or audio, but if the owners of said material decide to take action the case will be looked at separately if you make it to court. There are no set rules for how long these snippets may be, it's up to the owners to determine that.

Also, be aware that if you are actually taken to court by a company, you might win the case by claiming Fair Use, but it will not get your blocked video back and may even irreparably damage or full-on delete your channel.

Can I ask where you got this misinformation from? It most can and will go to court if you keep posting copyrighted material on sharing websites. Most people who get a copyright-claim on one of their videos simply delete it, it's the best thing to do and it saves you a lot of hassle. However, some companies are looking for people who will dispute the claim, using the very same Fair Use technique you just described, so they can crush them in court and make an example out of them.

Make sure that you are properly educated on these matters before you dive into them, it will save you a lot of trouble in the long run!

Well for the first time they will block it and now if he try to re claim then he can be taken to court but I am sure he won't keep going on:) thats why and I know you are right
