Since when?..

Since a long time ago.
I mean 1440p was already in end 2012 and 2160p was mid this year when I found out.

Have YouTube videos been able to be streamed (viewed) in 1440p and 2160p(4k)??
For over 2 years, but it was always listed as "original".
Btw streaming in 4k on a 1080p monitor will just stretch it onto that amount of pixels, so the difference is minor unless you actually have a screen for it (oh and soon 60 fps will be available for 4k videos)

my main screen is 4k :D

It's been a while but there aren't a ton of people who shoot in 4k let alone publish in 4k. So you won't find it too often.

It's become decently common within gaming, I mean if you have the computer/monitor for it, why not.
Gotcha, I am guilty of not watching any game videos so I wouldn't know in that realm. I am a filmmaker so I pay attention to the filmmaking side of things. I wouldn't doubt it though!

4k cameras are a whole different story, I mean for christ sake Bandicam can record 4k, but a 4k camera is expensive as dicks.

They really are. We are in the process of upgrading our equipment to 4k and it is going to take some funding =X My friends cam shoots at 6k and you can buy a house with the amount of money he put down on that thing.
