Sims gameplay

Hey guys im wanting to possibly make some sims 4 videos at some point... however i want the quality to be half decent i dont have a professional mic. But anyone on here have any experience of making pc gameplay videos?

What recording software do you use?
And what editing software thats free is best to merg together the voice over and video footage?
And what program do you use to record the voice over?

So many questions i know (sorry) but ive never made a gameplay video and have no knowledge

Any other tips of advice or knowledge would be great too

For recording software, try OBS. (Short for Open Broadcaster Software)
Free editing software is hard to come by... you can try a free trial of Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe has payment options that may be easy for you.
Pretty sure OBS will record your voice as well!
If you're looking for a decent microphone, try searching Blue Yeti mics. They're great!

Yeah OBS is awesome for recording! Same for the yeti. Really great quality.
 
For recording software, I confirm OBS is the place to go.
For editing software, you'd better pay, either a Vegas or similar software key. Around the internet you can find a giveaway link of PowerDirector 13, but it's very clunky so take it as a last resource.
I personally own a Blue Yeti, quality is great but is also difficult to use, for a cheaper price you can find products that easily rival it and are easier to use as well.

I use Premiere pro for editing. obs for recording audacity for audio, photoshop for thumbnails. and cell phone for web cam. Also aftereffects for some cool graphics. You can watch my videos to see the results.
