Shoutouts

Hey guys I'm not here to advertise I just wanted to know your opinion :) Ok so I want to start doing shoutouts on my channel but I just dont know when to start I have 24 subs currently so what do you guys think how many subs should I get before I start doing shoutouts :)? Thanks for reading guys.

Once you start to get an active fanbase, you should start.

I suggest giving out shoutouts to those channels you feel deserve it. Otherwise people would probably use you for the shoutouts. I used to do shoutouts, and it turned out that a lot of people were using me for them. One of the requirements was to be active, and so I gave those channels that was active with my channel a shoutout, but after I did they stopped coming around my channel. No more comments, likes, messages, tweets... nothing.

Wow that sucks. Hate that you got used like that.
 
We do shutouts for our fans every Monday. It's not necessarily promotion for them, it's just a fun way for us to acknowledge them and mention their name in a video. Our subscribers really like it! I actually just went through our videos right now to look when we started our shout-out's and it was 6 moths ago. I don't remember exactly, but I'm guessing we had around 200-300 subscribers then.
