Shoutouts? How well they work?

A friend of mine is going to shout me out, pretty popular Youtuber, 300k subs, and about 40k views a video. I was curious a GENERAL ratio on how many people that watch the video im shouted out in (40000) a estimate on the amount of Subs I would recieve.

Im aware theres alot of factors in this, first time with a Shoutout, but I want to hear your experiences/ Thoughts. Thanks.
Channel that is shoutting me out: SGCBarbierian

Shoutouts are always good, in my opinion. Well, if they're positive at least. If someone big is shouting you out, then at least a few people will check you out, and the possibility of expanding your audience is there.

Yeah, you'll definitely get a few extra eyes on your channel, so that's great! How many people is he shouting out though? The less people, the better, so there's more focus on you.

I have been told he doesn't do shoutouts at all really. He collabs with people and stuff, but no shoutouts.

Depends on the type of shoutout.
Do you do similar content to him? that would be a bonus.
What will he be saying about you? check out this channel? or check out this guy etc.

I've had a shoutout on a related vid before, but it diddn't have any impact that I could see. however if it was an animator like my own channel, I imagine it would have a bigger impact.

I find shoutouts really don't do much for anybody. They don't as much as collabs, but if you get one, it can do no harm.
