Should you do one series at a time?

I've Got It
Should you play and record just one series of a game at a time or should you play and record several?

If you just do one series at a time, people will know what you are going to upload next (the next episode of the series), but if some people don't like the series you are doing at the moment, they won't watch your videos for a while and might unsubscribe.

If you do several series at a time, people won't know what episode of a series you'll upload next. They will know if you tell them obviously, but if some people don't like a series you do they won't come to your channel on certain days. Also if you do like 15 series, some people will only come for some of them, and if two episode of a series are seperate from each other for about 2 weeks, that may mean that some people won't come to your channel for 2 weeks.

This may seem like a stupid question but I was just wondering if you tried another series people may not like it and unsubscribe to you or give you alot of hate.

Please reply with what you would do and what you did if you are a Let's Player or whatever and if it helped your channel.

Thanks for reading! Peace!

I'm going to be uploading 3 times a week once I get my channel going, and I'm going to balance 3 different series. It's a good idea to have a few going so people can have a little bit of variety, but try to make sure they aren't too similar.

I'm a let's player, but I plan to have a few series like singleplayer Minecraft, multiplayer Minecraft, and minigames in Minecraft to give my fans and non-fans some variety.

I'd say the happy compromise is to play and upload two or maybe even three at a time. They can keep track, not be overwhelmed, and not be underwhelmed either.

I upload, uhhh... let's count... 1,2,3,4,5, and maybe 6 or 7 depending on if the same game played entirely in a different mode would count as a different series... and I have random multiplayer videos go up occasionally... I know multiple series is the way to go but am I overdoing it? I let all my veiwers know my upload schedule...

I currently have 5 videos from 2 games each week, next week it's going up to 7 videos from 3 games each week. The trick is not recording too much too quickly or you'll be stuck with nothing to do for weeks on end until you catch up with yourself. Be consistent with publishing your videos and you won't have to worry about what people are expecting you to release (in fact, I've heard on YTTalk of people getting raged at by fans for choosing to not upload a video for a particular day because a fan stayed up late to watch said video).

Uploading one series at a time is boring and bland.

Making multiple series gives people a choice

Agreed. Thanks![DOUBLEPOST=1374293629][/DOUBLEPOST]
