yeah, this counts for quality content,
As long as you don't use facecam you can always be sneaky and put in some additional dialog...
Truth!
Also, try to think about your edits while filming. If you recognize something you know is boring and should get cut, it's a good idea to address it in your voiceover, like a television show would do after a commercial break. Tell us where you are, what's happening/about to happen, and what you just skipped over. It will help keep us from getting lost while watching.
"After walking for twenty minutes, I'm finally at the castle where the princess is being held. I'm going to go in there and hopefully rescue her."
I dont think you should cut anything at all, for example if you are playing a game and you have 5 minute section of you just walking around than speed up that section to where the 5 minutes plays in about 25 seconds worth of video, this way the viewer knows what happens and they dont have to sit and watch the 5 minutes of boring gameplay
Follow traditional film rules - use a dissolve to denote a change in time.
So.. I used to use all the boring footage because i din't know what a good video was. I tend to, if there is a boring part, cut out parts of it and leave the necessary parts so it doesn't drag on forever. So i would say yes to that one!
