Should I Use Tags In My Description?

On all of my videos, I always write about what the video is about and links to things like other channels, info, etc. but at the bottom of the description I always write tags. If I give an example, it is a Far Cry 4 video, I would do this:

Hey guys welcome to a video blah blah

links to:

Tags (Ignore)

Far Cry 4, Far Cry 4, Far Cry 4 rare hunting, far cry 4 rare hunting, far cry 4 hunting rare animals

Basically I write all possible search terms 5 times until I can't think of any more. Is this allowed? Does it work? Am I allowed to do this? I am really confused because I have seen other channels do it and they have said in youtube tips videos to do it. Can someone check my description in one of my videos and tell me if it is ok?

Here's one of my videos

Hello, I am not sure that is against the rules since it is relevant to the video itself. You could always make the description longer and incorporate those tags into the wording.

I'm pretty sure it's against the rules to add tags to the description and I'd steer clear just in case. Better safe than sorry when it comes to anything on YouTube... Just enter them into the "tags" box and incorporate them into your description in context. It'll be fine.

It's against YT's rules to have tags in the description of your video, I would say try to create a solid description of your video including keywords creativity and not having the words placed all the place.

It was stated above but yes, don't tag your description. Having a few sentences describing the video will serve that purpose :)

It is against youtube rules to do this with tags.
I have heard of bigger youtubers having their accounts suspended or terminated because people used bots to mass report old videos that used tags or google just finally caught them. So I would rather be safe then sorry and just not use them if I was you.

It's against the rules, even a big channel like Eleventh Gorgeous got suspended for it, so don't do it! It's just as easy to make good descriptive sentences anyway.

I agree with babyteeth4, their issue is having lists of keywords/tags in your description so instead of just listing one after the other get creative and write them into something original that is valuable to who is reading as well as being good for ranking your video.

Something I have always wondered about is normal sentence lists for example you could put Call of Duty Advanced Warfare level 6 tutorial by MyGamingChannel where I show you the new AK47, M16, Other assault rifle, xyz rocket launcher and some other gun.

Sentences like the above are fairly natural lists, so I cant see them having issues with that. It must just be really obvious lists similar to shopping lists.
