Should I upload more?

Is there a certain amount of times a week you should make videos? I currently only do one a week, but I'm starting to feel like I should do more to stay engaged with my subscribers. How does everyone else choose the amount of videos to make a week?

One a week is fine, if you keep it up but if you have time and want to make more, make more, I make two a week a short 30 second one and a 2 minute one

Lets just say that over the course of a year any video you upload gets 100 views based on glancing at your channel. Lets do some rough maths that doesn't actually prove that much but gives you an idea:

Situation 1:

1 * 52 *100 * (50/22,000) = 12 new subs
(above is 1 vid per week * 52 weeks * 100 views * subscriber rate for you roughly)

Situation 2:

7 * 52 * 100 * (50/22,000) = 86 new subs

Again this maths is pointless because you'll find as subs increase so do views and some vids get more views or higher sub rates. But the point is to show you that channel growth is proportional to the amount of content you put out. There are exceptions but I believe this is a fair rule of thumb! Hopefully people will be able to see the variables that go into channel growth and can try and improve them. Subs aren't the be all and end all, but they are one of the better ways to track growth.

Upload as much or as little as you want, but I saw you quote my post before so I think you want to grow your channel. I'd suggest uploading more if possible.
