Should i stop making videos in this series?

The nerdy guy in the cool hat!
For a little while I have been making these rather short videos called “How I met your mother in ten seconds” where i boil down a whole 30 minute episode down in to ten seconds, each are under a minimum long. Lately I have been publishing one every week on Thursdays and they don’t get as many views as my other videos.

Should I stop making these or should I keep going?

Here is a play list of the seven I have made so far, the first one I ever made has over 28,000 views.

Hey man!

First off, thanks for posting here - the only way to improve is to seek input from others that are doing it!

I can honestly say that I don't really...understand...what the point of the 10 seconds is. I understand you must really like the show to put that work and effort into it; it's a creative idea as well. Does it fit with the direction or theme or POV (point of view) of your channel? I really don't know, as the only thing I can gather is you enjoy a hodge-podge of different things that are "nerdy".

I would kill the series, personally - the couple clips I looked at had a few views and thumbs-down. BUT - don't forget the mantra you will hear here time and time again - create what you would enjoy watching - if you enjoy creating it and watching it, that's why you are doing it.

I hope this is helpful/makes sense.

You have some valid points, i guess i am still figuring out what what the theme/POV of my channel is. I have so many ideas and i want to try all kinds of videos and if i nail down a set style and content type i feel like i will box my self in and won't be able to make those things unless i make a new channel and one is enough right now.

I can understand what you are saying, but a PoV doesn't necessarily have to be laser-focused, pin-pointed down to a minute detail. Look at channels like Geek and Sundry or The Nerdist or IGN/Machinima - heck I know those are massive channels, but they have a broad-scope POV. And all of them could produce vidoes for each channel, honestly because they fit together in the realm of Geekdom/Nerdom.

Don't be discouraged by the lack of POV; think about what you would log on to watch 5-10 minute YouTube each day that would pique your interest and keep you coming back. What YouTubers keep you coming back and why? Do they have a generalized consistency in their content?

Haha, I like the videos. It is completely up to you if you should stop the series, but if you enjoy making them, and are proud of them when you're done, I wouldn't stop. I think people get too caught up in being all about one thing, sometimes a wrinkle or two is good. We're a Battelfield 4 channel, but once a week my son makes a video for Call of Duty, just to have something different.

Honestly if you enjoy making them keep it up! Though if you don't enjoy producing this series like it seems since you've decided to ask I would suggest stopping it just so that you can start something you love to do!

The videos are not hard to make, they are easy to upload and the first one i ever made got over 28k views but every video of the same kind after that has been getting less and less views the most resent only having 27 after being up for two days. I might just finish out the first season the stop but all this feed back has been helpful!

Hey, if you like it, keep at it man! and look at episode ! The views on that! Wowza, don't stop homie, keep on doing what you love.

As long as you upload consistently, subscribers won't leave your turf or at least go unactive.
You're best videos were from 4 months or older, that's pretty long since you came back from a 1 month break.
I like the show and it's good to have some short videos. It's up to you if you want to stop the series. Sometimes, making the video for fun is what counts the most, not really the views. Do what you like and views, subscribers, likes, and other things will come your way.
