Should I stay with Fullscreen?

I have a HUGE question please:

Do you all believe that I should continue to stay with Fullscreen? ( or in this case, just any type of network in general?)

I am curious because I have less than a year left with them. But, I feel I hit a point that there isn't much helping from the network. Most everything is growing from youtube. It is about 33,000 subscribers and I am not sure if Fullscreen is effecting the growth or not.

Please if you can let me know your options on networks.

Is it safe to just be partnered with youtube by itself again? I feel like maybe its unsafe... I like the feeling of security having a network, but not sure if that really does anything.

Thanks!

You're probably better off with a network for copyright but if you don't make much money there's not much use of networks. I'm with RPM and it hasn't really helped my channel despite I haven't used any of the spotlight features yet. Try looking around at some different networks and see if they look better for you :)

How long have you been with them? Have you noticed a difference in subscribers/revenue/views since being with them?

It has been just little over a year: and it seems that when I was with them for the first 6 or 7 months or so they helped a ton.
It seemed to help just getting different tips and things from partner manager, and also seemed to help just having a network I was with showing the subscribers I was with them maybe helped.

The banner was the main reason I joined though, then that all changed with one channel layout.

It's hard honestly for me to tell /:

Well if things have been slowing down, I would wait it out at least a bit. It's important not to make quick decisions. Maybe see how things are going for the next 2 months or so and really pay attention to your channel and stats. Also, it may be a good idea to contact someone and see what they say. Maybe there's an explanation. I don't have a lot of subscribers but in my "outside youtube" life I work for a big corporate entity...it's important to note that all business has highs and lows.
If in the end you're not satisfied then you should part ways.

No network is going to really promote your channel for you. Each network offers their own promotional programs, but you still have to do the work, and be selected to be in them. You're also competing against others in that same network providing content to say the "main channel" of that network.

Most networks will only promote the larger channels anyway from what I have seen. No one cares about the little guys. We have to promote ourselves, provide much better content, and work 5x as hard to get to where they are. That's the reality for a lot of channels.

Edit: Basically what I'm saying is, don't leave a network because they aren't promoting your channel or providing you with "something". No network is going to give handouts.

A good network will do what it can to promote your channel as well as the rest of their partners. Yes not everyone deserves promotion, but if they have a good channel that they put work into then they deserve promotion.

Some networks will offer more than others, and some won't give you anything other than protection, support and a dashboard. Whatever you decide to go with make sure that the network is earning their cut. If the network isn't doing anything for you like you stated you should be getting about a 90/10 cut. But if they are helping you promoting you and such 80/20 is fair. If they gave you editors, graphic people, etc. then 70/30 is okay.

Hey Stephen! I remember when you had like 5,000 subscribers and now you have over 30,000. Your channel grew dramatically in such a short period. If I were you I'd try to negotiate a higher revenue share and ask for some more promotion.

More than likely, the network has nothing to do with your growth. re-signing is up to you but for me, I won't be re-upping with them.

Thanks greatly everyone for all these amazing comments and feedback... I see what a lot of u are saying. I think the biggest issue is just the % cut... I feel like it really would be more fair with an 80/20 or even 85/15 because all I really use from the network is the audio library, and I guess just the feeling of protection that comes with it.

The network protects from things like clickbombing I have heard, but does anyone know if it protects from other things too?

And I just feel like most of the self growth of the channel now is not really by Fullscreen, but just the videos and things themselves /:

I think I will try to resign when the time comes only if it is a shorter term contract and a higher split.

The really big question is though is it safe to not have any network at all and just be partnered with youtube? I just get afraid of things like clickbombing or other things that could ruin it.[DOUBLEPOST=1391203354,1391203272][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hey Richy!! Man I can't believe this!! it's crazy man how fast it grew and stuff... I couldn't believe u still remembered me. I remember u too! how is ur channel and things going? It's been forever... I hope everythings great.

I think I am going to try and do that... to ask for a higher bump in the split of it. That's the only problem is it feels like so much of the earnings is going to nothing /:
