Should I start a new channel?

Hey guys :)
I have a gaming channel at the moment, witch I love and want to continue with. But I also want to branch out and try other stuff on youtube like vlogs, music, sketches and other tom foolery. What are your opinions on channels with a wide variety of content, good or bad? Should I stick with my gaming channel as just a gaming channel and create a new one for the other stuff?

I had this decision to make a few weeks back when I was around 30 subscribers, like you.

Honestly, it's whatever you will find the easiest. I'm trying to make a blend of vlogs and gaming and my viewers seem to think it'll be a great idea (I've not got any gaming videos public right now, but they are highly requested).

Sketches and vlogs match up together, maybe gaming doesn't fit into that mix. There could be a really creative and unique way of getting them to mix though?

If you can get the balance right, I'd suggest keeping it all on one channel :)

I don't see a reason to start a whole new channel, especially when you're where you are in subcount. I'd just add in the vlog etc content alongside what you do, maybe even do a gameplay/vlog hybrid to keep it similar to your channel?
 
Follow your interests. I believe that the moment you find making YouTube videos a chore than you're not following your interests. You should be passionate for your content, and if gaming doesn't do it for you, then by all means spread your arms and try out different things!
 
if your a gaming channel, you still want your audience to be more interested in you than the game your playing because that means they will watch you play any game and not just the one game they saw you play 2 years ago and subbed. because they are essentially a dead subscriber unless you go back to the original game

so if you want them to be more interested in you, you as a person, then adding stuff like vlogs and other random videos can only help engage your community and make them want to watch anything you do

too many gaming channels make the mistake of thinking its about the game (man i need to start a guide around this subject) yes the game is what they searched for to find your channel, but once there as i said before you want them to want to watch you.

also its damn hard to make one channel grow. why would anyone want to make that twice as hard by splitting all your work and effort in two? i can understand why the massive channel create new channels because they can just make a video saying "hey sub to my new gaming channel" and bam 250k subs.

my advice, keep it all in one channel, become a personality and grow

That is my concern too, that the gaming audience is not interested in vlogs and other stuff, but as Loki Doki said, maybe if the chanell has a personality it don't matter..? hmm..
And the other way around, people who want to watch vlogs and sketches will be thrown off by the gaming vids?
