Should I Restart/Make a New Channel?

One thing that's been getting me down lately is my channel's view/sub ratio. If you check out my channel you'll see that certain videos don't garner many views. It really gets me down since I've made mistakes in the past. I got top comment on one of PewDiePie's videos and also I got some top comments on some other big YouTubers and people subscribed to me but didn't really watch my videos. It really sucks. I'm really wishing for a fresh start now that I'm finding my niche and what I'm trying to do here.
I'm thinking about keeping the name and making an new channel and directing my ACTUAL viewers towards the new one. I don't want to keep going further as I feel that if I do get to a bigger point, I won't be able to turn back. And since I'm getting a good PC, I'd be able to reboot with a bunch of better content. I want to kill my persona and be me. But if I do that with this channel, I know I'll be uncomfortable.
Please help me out and give me your advice. These inactive subs aren't going to watch me no matter what I do. Trust me.
 
Umm no, just stick with your channel dude. You make it sound like you're blaming your channel for everything, its just an account with videos that you've made. It really doesn't make any sense for starting all over, trust me, I've been there. If you're gonna start all over, might as well move to another genre then just video games.
 
I suggest you should only consider starting over if you are doing an entirely different genre.

I started over as well. Previously i was making covers but now i'm making food videos. I didn't start an entirely new channel though. I just made my old videos private.

I have 50+ dead subs on my channel, which currently has 90 subs. That's majority of my sub count lol. Just keep doing vids on the same channel, once you get bigger those dead subs won't even be noticeable.

I do not look at my sub counts often.

Instead, I use YouTube videos drive traffic to my site.

The most important metric to me is my repeat visitor count on my blog.

Take a look at this screengrab I just took:

The top line is total unique visitors.

The second line is total new visitors.

When I subtract line the two numbers, I get the number of repeat visitors.

As long as this metric grows steadily, I know I am resonating with my followers.
 
I dunno about making a new channel, only because what about all the effort you put into building this channel? Will it go to waste?
 
I agree if you're going to switch genres, or do something completely new then yes go ahead and switch.

I think viewers like seeing development in videos, and how you're growing your craft, and how good you are getting. Don't let the numbers get you down, just keep doing good content and keep active and they will come eventually, you got all the time in the world, it's no race

I'm not thinking about deleting my channel currently because of the great advice you guys have gave me. Thank you.
 
Stop trying to get subs buy commenting on other people's videos. Going after subs equals low average view times which equal low views. You don't need to start a new channel. Just resist the urge to do Sub 4 Sub "Lite". Sub 4 sub lite is what you've been doing. You have been comeing out and straign up asking you to sub people but you've been commenting in the hopes that people sub you regardless of what they think of your content. Don't ever do anyting to try and gain a sub. Try and make great videos which will equal lots of views which will equal lots of subs.
