Should I put extra tags in my video description?

the tags should relate to your video if you don't want to attract trolls, the more the better.
for example i do art videos then i would tag all equipment I used, type of paper, style, artist i got insperation for, the audience i aim for e.g i aim my art at high school students doing art so I would tag the digree so that when they search for the digree or an equipment my video shows up. however i do need to tag more, sometimes you need to go back an refine the tags by adding more tags and changing them. but deffinatly have alot of tags, have the most important ones at the begining.

Hi, recently, i've been noticing that a youtuber's videos are everywhere in the suggestion box as long as the videos are related to his. I got a little jealous and decided to look at his video tecniques. In his video descriptions and below his "thanks for watching" stuff, there were hundreds of tags that people might search (of course related to his video). Should I do the same? Does it rise my video ranking? Or do people hate those?

Thanks.

You can get a strike against your channel if you abuse this too much.

What I do is load my titles with keywords and then just put the title in the description as my 'extra tags.' that's legit and won't get you in trouble with you tube...
