Should I keep going?

So at the start of this summer, I began daily vlogging and I told myself I was going to do it all summer and then once school started, I would stop.

However, I'm having a lot of fun daily vlogging, and there will be a lot of changes and fun things happening during this fall/winter (and hopefully next summer too!) so I've been thinking about changing my mind and continuing the daily vlogs.

On the other hand, daily vlogging is a really tough schedule to keep up with (in addition to school and work, it's really REALLY tough) and sometimes my days just aren't that interesting. So to remedy that, I was thinking about doing weekly vlogs, where I'd film anything of note that happened during the week and then compile it all into one video each week.

I know this is ultimately my decision, and daily vlogs aren't super popular on here, but any feedback would be lovely :) Thanks guys!

How much do you crave an audience? How important is it to you that you maintain a steady growth in viewership? Cause basically, if vlogging is just fun and you don't mind getting a few views here and there, then do whatever the heck you want, don't stick to a schedule, don't even make one, vlog when it's fun. But if you really want that steady gaining veiwership it's imperative you keep to your schedules and not break them. As you grow in popularity people tend to take missing an upload day almost as seriously as breaking a promise to them. So it's all about what you want to get out of this.

well if you're having fun with it definitely don't stop, but if it is getting harder and harder to do so maybe vlog every second day or twice a week instead of everyday and see how that works out and then when you find your self with more time go crazy!

Batshit crazy to be exact.

Good point.
I'm still feeling unsure of what I really want. My videos started out as mostly something for me to do, a way for me to get out of the house and do fun stuff, and something I can look back on and see my life in a very candid way.

As I've continued on, and taken inspiration from other vloggers, I've started to crave an audience. I like the interactive aspect of daily vlogs, and I hate feeling stupid that I'm essentially talking to no one and I would like more subscribers.

It's tough, because my channel isn't growing, but it's also still in the very beginning and I know I have a lot to learn/improve on.

My suggestion would be in that case to stick to a low ball schedule and get ahead of yourself. Just manage once or twice a week and when you get days to film film more than one video and schedule them. Because when you reach the point you crave growth, it can feel veeeery disappointing when your audience starts losing interest I've been there. So pick a schedule that is actually a little bit LOWER than what you realistically think you can accomplish, and get ahead of yourself. Like right now I'm sitting on 7 unlisted videos I have made and ready to go so that when I don't have the time to make videos they're just there. That's what I would recommend :)

If you want to keep doing it just do less videos a week/month :D

If you enjoy it keep going.. Although with school and all maybe change from Daily to weekly. You don't want to over do it and burn yourself out. As long as you are enjoying it keep rolling.
