Should I just quit? :/

I've Got It
I used to put out weekly content and the occasional project video, but it seems to me that the only real "fanbase" I have are the people that I don't want to have watch; people I know in real life. Because of the "reputation" I have to "uphold", I always need to hold back and so I never get to express myself like how I want to express myself. Also, the fact that I have hide everything from my parents cause they don't actually support anything I love to do, including YouTube.

Most of the time, it just feels like my channel has been on a stand-still since started. All the same people; never getting more than 10 REAL subs and there are never any comments. (I check on an almost hourly basis.)

I love the Youtube community, and I love the YTTalk community, but I just always feel unlikable cause nothing ever happens. I try to involve myself, but I don't want to come across asarrogant or offensive...

What do you think? Should I quit? I've thought of restarting my channel with an alias, but I'm not sure how that'll work out. o 3o
 
JUST DONT QUIT IF ITS WHAT YOU LIKE TO DO. you can either block the people you dont want watching your videos no matter you know them or just upload whatever u want and when they ask you why you acted that way just lie to them saying that its the internet and you can act however you and and not saying that its the "real you"
 
You kind of just started and haven't made a video since May. Try sitting down and thinking of great ideas. Even if it takes a week, it'll be great. You might even get a few more subscribers. I have 31 subscribers and I never get comments either, but I continue to make videos to the point where I was offered partnership with a company. Just do your best and you'll go far.

you can block a person from commenting but you can't block somebody from watching your videos.
 
Maybe try making a new channel and not sharing with friends or family so you can act however you wish. As for subs people will come maybe starting again and doing more on what you want will help ? but i must say I dont think you should quit i say its worth it even if you make one good friend from doing youtube. I dont know just a thought :) Lemme know what you decide! :3 <3

it should not let them watch your vids if u block them.. but if it doesent it does not mater when you can just pretend that this isnt realy "you" more like jus a personality u act on the internet
 
Quality over quantity. Don't force yourself to put out videos out on a weekly basis just to have a video up. Work on a video and upload it once you feel it is complete. It doesn't matter if that video takes a week or month to complete. :D

And I know how it feels to have your parents NOT support anything you do,

I say keep going for it, if you're at a standstill like I have been for the past 2 months...just take a short break from making videos, and review your channel, look at all your videos, do you still find them entertaining?What about other people? Likes and Views?

If not, see what you can do to make it a lot more interesting and entertaining for your audience.
 
If you like doing what you do don't stop.
"Nothing in this world that's worth having comes easy" so just go for it :)
