Should I give up on my goals?

I need some advice. Basically I set a wild goal for myself to reach 200 subscribers by March 6th. In order to do that, every single video I make has to have a "searchable" title (for example 'The Truth About Tyler Oakley" or something). I feel that these videos are good, but they're not getting as much exposure as I planned for or maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

Anyway, the point is I've been having a bunch of ideas for other videos that I want to make, but I have to keep making these gateway videos in order to get to my goal which let's be honest is pretty unrealistic considering I'm not even halfway there. So should I make the videos I want to make and give up on the goal or keep going with gateway videos and have a shot at reaching it?

edit:I didn't mean giving up Youtube entirely, I will get to 200 subscribers eventually. I'm debating if I should set the goal farther back and make videos that I want to now or continue doing gateway videos that get me more than average exposure to reach my goal by March 6.

I wouldnt give up on the goals entirely, perhaps set more achievable ones that you could possibly reach doing the videos you are happy doing the most.
 
Honestly, a lot of people have been in this position, where their goals seem unrealistic and they feel that they should just give up.

If you want it bad enough I would say keep going for it, but unless you're willing to really immerse yourself into the journey of accomplishing your goals I'd say to just give it up.
 
one thing I will say is stop using the "comedy" "youtube" "youtuber" tags in your videos, and instead use more video specific ones. Extremely broad tags like these are doing nothing for you, and are taking away valuable tag space. Other than that, I think you're videos are pretty hilarious :D dont give it up

You should do whatever you are passionate about. If YouTube starts feeling like a job (and not the dream kind) then there isn't really a point anymore.
 
I don't really like the idea of setting subscriber goals. It's a good thing if it motivates you to work more, but on the other hand it can make you feel pressured, lose interest and worst be incredibly disappointed if you don't reach the goal despite doing your best. Do what's fun for you - that should be motivation enough.
 
Keep your goal and then decide what to do when March 6th rolls around. You might gain a ton of subs overnight or something, you never know!
 
I wouldn't get too caught up in the numbers.. its asking to be disappointed. Very few people LAUNCH. So the trick is to do what you love... learn new marketing strategies and test them. rinse and repeat.
